Please keep these parishioners in your prayers as well as the poor, lonely, homeless and abandoned this Lenten season! Please pray especially for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Please read below the letter regarding the Haitian situation.

Dear Friend in Christ,

As you know, a catastrophic earthquake struck Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, on January 12. At least three million people are estimated to have been affected, homes have been destroyed and the death toll continues to rise.

Episcopal Relief & Development is in contact with the Diocese of Haiti to both address immediate needs and prepare for long-term rehabilitation work.

Your help is critical in providing life-saving services, emergency supplies and long-term support in the aftermath of this unprecendented tragedy.

We ask that you photocopy this revised bulletin insert and place it in your Sunday Service leaflet this Sunday, January 17th or the following Sunday, January 24th. We've included information for making phone and on line donations
so funds can be used immediately to purchase much-needed relief supplies.

Encourage your congregation to visit Episcopal Relief & Development's website,
www.er-d.org/HaitiCrisis, for updated information on the crisis in Haiti and to make an immediate, convenient and secure contribution to Episcopal Relief & Development's Haiti Fund to help those affected by the earthquake.

Thank you for your partnership, prayers and compassion.

Yours faithfully,
Brian
